Y2Y Network provides vital shelter, food, and supportive services to youth experiencing homelessness. Through our innovative model utilizing peer volunteers, vulnerable young people create meaningful connections that foster sustainable pathways out of homelessness and achieve long-term success.
This year we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Y2Y Harvard Square! Each year over 135 young people are safe in our shelter designed specifically for 18-24 year olds where essentials such as food, clothing, showers, hygiene supplies and laundry services are provided. Youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability can access medical and mental healthcare, legal aid, professional development and life skills learning, and are connected to community resources through peer-to-peer case management services and supports. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach and the framework of Positive Youth Development, youth are helping youth develop pathways out of homelessness they can maintain.
Youth homelessness has increased 20% over the past year - youth-specific shelter has not. Your partnership makes a real and lasting impact, and we are grateful for your generosity and commitment.
