Hi everybody! Thanks so much for stopping by my fundraising page. I am a social worker who has worked Homeless Services for my entire professional career. I love the connection, problem solving, and creativity that comes with the job, but most of all, I love the clients we get to work with! I am walking because I truly believe that everybody deserves to have a warm bed to curl into at the end of a day. The ability to close one’s eyes in a safe, warm, and comforting bed is not a luxury but a human right. I am walking because we are so far from that being a realty in our society today, but I do believe it is possible, but it will be a HUGE amount of work, so I am walking because it is a place to start. I am also walking because I truly believe that Eliot believes in the humanity of those we serve. I work for Eliot because every decision is made with a client first attitude, every dollar spent is spent with clients in mind, and every day we all get up to see if we can make somebody else’s day even just a little bit better. All dollars that are allocated to Eliot will be thoughtfully spent by Eliot’s Homeless Services division in order to support our mission of serving the most venerable among us. If you can, please help support me in my passion work, but more importantly, support our clients so someday they too can curl under a warm blanket and sleep in peace.
